Wildlife explorers at Spring Park

At the end of August Spring Park was looking for wildlife explorers to undertake a Bioblitz. Within two hours 25 wildlfife explorers helped to record as many living species as possible. We identified more than 100 different species. We explored the pond, had a go at bug hunting and had a closer look at the different plant species across the meadow. The highlights were the little smooth newts and the ruddy darter dragonflies. We had a splendid afternoon and at the end the Red Arrows appeared over Spring Park and impressed us with their terrific flight manoeuvres.
A huge thank you goes to our volunteers who helped us to make this event such a great success.
