Shoppers, visitors and residents are being warned to be on their guard from pickpockets as the Safer Bromley Partnership issue free bells for purses and wallets available in High Street charity shops. The bells act as an audible alert to customers if a purse or wallet is disturbed as well as acting as a deterrent to pickpockets. Available free at the till points of High Street charity shops in Bromley, Beckenham and Orpington, the bells are supplied by the Safer Bromley Partnership. Customers picking one up are encouraged to make a small donation to charity.
