The below e-mail is from the Bromley Traffic Officer with details of the Addington Road closure:

Dear Councillors,

Thames Water will be closing Addington Road, West Wickham during the next school half term week.

The road will be closed from Saturday 15/02/2020 until Sunday 23/02/2020 in between the junctions of Glebe Way A232 and Courtfield Rise.

Thames Water are completing essential works needed on their network, including replacing a district water meter which monitors water leakage in the area, installing new water valves, a new fire hydrant and essential checks on their major trunk water main at the location.

There will be two diversions in place for traffic:

Diversion 1: – For traffic on the Glebe Way roundabout – traffic will be diverted via Croydon Road A232, then into the Croydon Road one way slip road next to the Wickes store.

Diversion 2: – For traffic on the Corkscrew Hill/Layhams Road roundabout – traffic will be diverted via Corkscrew Hill, Wickham Court Road and Glebe Way A232.
I’ve requested for advanced warning signs to go out next week to pre-warn motorists of the upcoming disruption. Let me know if you have any queries.

Kind regards
