West Wickham is a pleasant town in the London Borough of Bromley, within easy reach of London by rail, and good bus connections to the large shopping centres of Bromley and Croydon.
There are a range of shops, specialist and multi-national, with good parking. Our population numbers approximately 15,000, and we are surrounded by beautiful green belt countryside, including Spring Park Woods and Wickham Common.
The Association was formed on 25th March 1929 during a period of rapid development in the town, with the simple object of encouraging the preservation of amenities and the betterment of West Wickham (with no political affiliations).
The composition and character of our town, both in buildings and population, has changed considerably since those early days, but those objectives remain as relevant as they were then. Continued vigilance and effort is necessary to ensure that the area’s amenities, and quality of life, are maintained and improved.
